O Estudo SIRveNIB Asiático, com 360 pacientes, mostrou que, em comparação com o tratamento padrão do sorafenibe, o tratamento local do Carcinoma Hepatocelular (CHC) avançado ou inoperável com as microesferas de resina SIR-Spheres® Y-90:

  • não demonstrou melhora significativa na sobrevida global
  • teve uma frequência e gravidade significativamente reduzidas de eventos adversos
  • foi significativamente melhor tolerado
  • PFS e TTP significativamente melhorados, globalmente e no fígado, na população tratada
