Sirtex Customer Support and Training Programs

Sirtex provides clinicians, multidisciplinary teams, institutions and treatment facilities with a comprehensive suite of programs and educational offerings throughout the year supporting those from introductory to highly experienced in the use of SIR- Spheres Y-90 resin microspheres.

For new centres, Sirtex offers the Training, Evaluation and Certification (TEC) program and customized trainings and events.

For highly experienced users Sirtex offers the Sirtex Proctor Program.

  • SIR-Spheres Y-90 resin microspheres Training, Evaluation and Certification (TEC) program is provided to all new centres prior to treating patients with SIR-Spheres Y-90 resin microspheres. This comprehensive site-specific training program includes training of the IR and all team members involved in the planning and administration of SIR-Spheres Y-90 resin microspheres; it ensures that patients receive the best care in their treatment with SIR-Spheres Y-90 resin microspheres. The training is conducted in your hospital, under real-life conditions, using your equipment. Your team will be guided at every step, ensuring all aspects of the procedure are fully understood.
  • Ongoing User Support enables the availability of the trainers and proctors even after the training program is completed. This can be of valuable assistance in cases when it is difficult to find the best treatment strategy for your patients. There is also the opportunity to join an online platform to discuss best practices and treatment strategies with global Key Opinion Leaders.
  • Workshop - In addition to the TEC programme Sirtex organizes and conducts workshops on SIRT treatments using SIR-Spheres Y-90 resin microspheres at various qualified locations in Europe. These workshops are led by specialists and experts in their field. Comprehensive insights are provided in the form of both didactic lectures and practical demonstrations. Lively discussions are a vital part of the workshops.

Experienced Users

  • The Sirtex Proctor Program allows highly experienced users the opportunity to become SIR-Spheres Y-90 resin microspheres Key Opinion Leaders and trainers. Proctors train new and inexperienced users during the TEC program using their expertise to build a sustainable, high quality SIR-Spheres Y-90 resin microspheres program that supports the needs of new facilities and patients. Proctors are invited to participate in meetings with other regional proctors to assess and define current best practices and provide guidance to other users.
