Sirtex Medical is a global healthcare business with offices in Boston, Sydney, Germany, and Singapore, working to improve outcomes in people with cancer. Our current lead product is a targeted radiation therapy for liver cancer called SIR-Spheres® Y-90 resin microspheres. More than 100,000 doses have been supplied to treat patients with liver cancer at more than 1,300 medical centers in over 50 countries. We’re a fast-growing; dynamic organization and we seek an experienced Market Assessment Manager to help us with our growth.

The Market Assessment Manager position supports the Market Assessment and Planning team in gaining insights and conducting assessments and market valuation across the legacy portfolio, R&D pipeline, and business development considerations.

This position requires collaboration with colleagues throughout the organization at various global, regional and country levels in various functions. The role demands project management experience and confidence in conducting scientific literature searches and competitor analyses to support commercial insights which will help inform business decisions for new indications, new products, and geographical expansion.

The Role:

Support the development of comprehensive market assessments for new products, new indications, acquisitions, and geographical expansion.

  • Conduct scientific literature searches to understand and map out epidemiology, treatment patterns and guidelines, for different indications and geographies.
  • Summarize and report outcomes of analyses to key stakeholders

Competitive landscape assessment for defined indications to analyze impact on market potential

  • Track and report on ongoing clinical studies and competitive landscape in different disease areas.
  • Monitor indication-specific treatment guidelines for updates that could influence treatment patterns and sub-groups of patients to be targeted with Sirtex’ therapies
  • Analyze impact of major new clinical evidence on treatment patterns and market potential.

Analyze market potential, current market share and addressable market, by taking into consideration market trends based on treatment landscape evolution and evolving competitive environment

  • Manage and update indication-based Treatment Algorithms

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced degree
  • Scientific background such as MD, PharmD, Ph.D. will be appreciated
  • Quick understanding of scientific data and the ability to assimilate and simplify concepts effectively
  • Experienced with extracting data from scientific publications
  • Work experience in Oncology is appreciated
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels in a multicultural environment.
  • Commercial insight and acumen with life-science industry experience (more than 2 years);
  • Highly motivated self-starter, capable of working independently as well as part of a highly functioning international team
  • Preferably work experience gained at a European or International level
  • Expertise in MS Excel and PowerPoint is a must
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent command of English (spoken/written)
